Description
This method is used to determine the refractometric dry substance content (RDS) of molasses, very pure syrups and thick juice.
RDS is an indicator of dry substance content where the solids present are soluble. It is measured using a refractometer and often used in molasses contracts.
The absolute difference for results obtained under repeatability conditions should not be greater than 0.2 g/100 g.
