Description
Slime-forming bacteria in white sugar are enumerated by filtration through a sterile membrane filter (low-level microorganism content) or a pour plate technique (higher level microorganism content). Prepared samples are incubated at 30 °C for 48 hours prior to enumeration. The method has Accepted Status for white sugar and there are no precision data available.
