Description
This method is used to determine the amount of water-insoluble material in white sugars.
The sample is dissolved and filtered through a filter of pore size 8.0 µm. The filter and the retained matter are then dried and weighed.
The method has Official Status and the absolute difference between two results obtained under repeatability conditions should not be greater than 4.9 mg/kg and under reproducibility conditions not greater than 7.2 mg/kg.
