The pathogen complex “Cicada – Host plants – Pathogen” is considered one of the most dangerous diseases in arable farming and is a major factor in the discussion about beet and potato cultivation in Rhineland-Palatinate and Hesse (Germany). No insect or pathogen can currently be described as more threatening to cultivation and processing structures. The Association of Hessian-Palatinate Sugar Beet Growers and its subsidiary organizations are devoting their full attention to this topic and are holding their first international conference in Worms, Germany, and the surrounding area to mark the occasion.
