Growth rates literature data concerning different faces of sucrose crystal in pure solutions, point out some discrepancies when close values of growth rates are considered. The Authors have obtained other data through weight measurements of big sucrose monocrystals. The comparison with the successions of growth rates of other Authors shows an agreement for some faces, while for others having close growth rates, there is again a considerable incertitude in the results. Error sources in the various measurement methods are considered. Moreover, growth rate variations, which can be met during the crystal growth, independently of the accuracy of experimental methods, are discussed.
