Flujo 2018 – Sugar industry fluid-flow calculations

A successful simulation project is one that delivers useful information or a result at the right time to support a meaningful decision or task, avoiding manual calculations, which take too much time to obtain unreliable results. Flujo 2018 is a mathematical model generated automatically from an isometric diagram that solves the fluid-flow equations involved, using the most rigorous physical and thermodynamic properties existing in the literature for air, water, steam and alcoholic or sugar solutions. Pipe friction, resistance coefficient, equivalent length, and flow coefficient of the elements that are part of the circuit are obtained by means of the classical equations and the Crane and 3K methods. This tool allows the user to quickly obtain the loss of fluid pressure in a proposed or existing installation, and sizing the pump that drives it, if necessary.
