The 2018/19 beet campaign – Switzerland

Conditions such as having to sow until mid-April, an already dry spring, and an extremely dry summer that lasted until autumn, all led to a very poor beet yield in Switzerland. The low sugar content resulted in a record low sugar yield. The very high Amino-N content resulted in a low yield and impaired production. In both Swiss plants, disruptions had to be accepted.
