Concept for Changing the Heat Econorny in Beet Sugar Factories

Pulp drying in a steam atmosphere offers new possibilities for keying it to the heat economy of a sugar factory. The new concept uses fuel heat in an additional steam superheater to provide the superheated steam required for the evaporation dryer. Three variants of the concept are described and the basic data given for the economy.
