Strip tillage in sugar cane agriculture: techniques and challenges

Strip tillage techniques and equipment used in Barbados are described in detail, and placed in the context of work done elsewhere. Problems are discussed and solutions suggested. Strip tillage is a form of reduced tillage that has proved to be financially and agronomically attractive in experiments and demonstrations, and efforts are now under way to introduce it on a commercial scale.
